Copyright on a broader parameter involves a bundle of rights. It encompasses a multitude of rights deriving from a single category of work. With the advent of technological measures and new openings in printing and publishing the copyright regime is susceptible to easy piracy. It is in this context that we gather significance so as to protect and prevent misappropriation of enumerated rights based on the Copyright Act. Copyright because of its very nature is vulnerable to unauthorized use and exploitation and hence to be monitored. Copyright extends to many categor -ies of work viz: literary, dramatic, artistic, musical, sound recording, and cinematographic work. On a broad generalization even though the work has been capped, each category has with it specific rights which is distinct and independent.
